Write Once-Get Paid Over And Over

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Many people I talk to…tell me if they could have one financial wish…it would be to become financially free… To create multiple streams of passive income that would make them “set for life.”

As a writer every written work you get paid to write or are selling yourself off line as well as online can become one of these passive income streams.

You could create not one or two, but dozens upon dozens of separate passive income streams…

…Automatic Revenue Sources… each one pumping out “moolah” — while you’re not even there.

I have repeatedly told you that if you even have only 5 minutes a day you can be paid for your writing. The resources I have been recommending are excellent–you just have to decide to get going.

Writing Dreams Can Be Fulfilled

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

As each new Olympic record is broken, we are amazed at how humans can possibly reach higher achievements … faster trials … longer endurance.

All that is required to achieve success is desire and dedication. Just as the Olympic athletes strive to set new records, by diligently and joyously applying yourself, you will watch your dreams and aspirations to become a writer  fulfilled in ways you thought unimaginable!

If you can dream it you can achieve it. Share with your readers your dreams and visions of impacting the world.  All it takes is just to begin.  Are you willing?

Joy Of Writing

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

There is a joy in writing about things that are going on in your life or in the lives of others.  It is all about the sharing.  Think of the feeling you get when you get a card, a letter, an email or hand written note shared across coffee, lunch, dinner or even across time.

In a few days it will be Valentine’s Day.  Typically that is more of a day to share with written remembrances but recently as I moved and sorted through boxes I found notes from my mother who has passed away and it was really special to go through those notes and remember what was going on during the time she wrote the note to me. What a great way to connect with her memory.

Think about those special communications you have received over your life and maybe even write a short story sharing your thoughts about what you got.  You can tuck it away or you can share with others.

A very popular movie that I see being shown on television is The Notebook which is about love letters written that the man now shares (by reading) with his wife who has Alzheimer’s and is having trouble remembering sometimes even her husband.

How can you brighten someone elses day?

Let Writing Look Back Over The Holidays

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Now that the holidays are past and we are beginning to get back to normal schedules is a great time to think about some of the events that you could use to tell some short stories.

You could break down the categories into EX: travel, friends, events, experiences shopping or any others that apply to you.  You might even consider including all of the holiday events and happenings and putting them into a book for yourself or your family as a keepsake.

Everytime you remember a special event when you have not recorded the details you might leave out important facts about what happened.  I know most of you have good memories but when you try to remember everything about everything sometimes things get jumbled and left out. The diary concept was a good idea that you can start using again.

Another Book Off To The Publisher

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

When you are writing online your format is different than when you are having a book published off line whether that is self publishing or having a publisher doing that for you.

Most people use Microsoft Word to write documents and the default page size is the 8 1/2 X 11.  If you also want to be published, decide which size you are going to have as a finished book and set your page size accordingly before you begin.  If you do this when you start you will not have to go back and transfer your information to a smaller size later if you decide you want to have a published copy of your information. This way you can use the content on or offline and do that more easily.

It is exciting to see your writing come to a finished product you can hold in your hand.  Something that for many is a long process.  It is actually quite easy with the tools we have available to us today so I want to encourage you to press toward that goal and break through any blocks you might encounter.  Even if you only have 1 copy on your shelf, it is a very gratifying experience to hold that book in your hand.

What Are Options For Your Writing

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Ebooks are one of the ways you can add  into your strategy to share your work with others.  Electronic publishing is easy to do and your reader can just download the file so they have instant access to your work. (After they pay, of course) In addition you can self publish a small quantity of books that you can have available for the person who just wants to see the book on their shelf after they have read it.

Many authors are starting with this form of connecting to their reader base and occasionally the brick and mortar publishers contact the person who has been successful with their online sales to do a traditional publishing contract.

If you don’t add ebooks to your sharing mix, you’ll miss out on a huge credibility builder and be leaving a whole lot of money on the table! Get those fingers typing with your content, save them in a pdf file and offer them to those who want to buy your work.  The world is waiting to read what you have to say, so big breath and go for it!  You can do it!!
