While at first glance Internet documents appear to mimic traditional print documents there are many major differences. One of the most important is the entry point.

A search engine may deliver readers to some point in the middle or end of your document. If you have written a coherent and cohesive piece then those readers may well move back to the beginning to read properly.

In response to the scanning readers, as many internet readers are, it is best to break longer documents into several stand-alone pieces that can work together as a whole or as separate documents if approached in that manner.

Can’t you see, I’m too busy being distracted you tell yourself and the others around you. I’ll do ______later.

How many times have you heard yourself say or think those words? Or have you seen other activities that are not high on your priority list–they are just time fillers–take over your schedule so the things you really want to do you will put off to doing later.

The problem with procrastination is that you never get around to doing the things you really want to do. Your time is filled up with all of those unimportant activities.

Start today–action is what will get the job done. You have been saying for along time that you want to write. Make today your day to begin.

One of the ways to keep the interest of the reader is to add unexpected twists to your story line. it is like the cliff hanger at the end of a tv series that makes you curious enough about what the new season will bring that you look forward to seeing the season premier.

Think about what the endings of those tv shows made you think about or wonder about and see how that type of questions made you feel about the ending that you saw. This is the way to add those questions into what you are writing about so the interest is increased in you reader just like it was increased in you.

In a conversation with someone I just met, we were talking about all of the changes that had taken place in the world around us over the past few years and how we needed to update and adjust so the information we were using was current.

It would be fun to take a topic and look back to see how it was communicated say 5 years ago, 10 years ago and contrast that with today. Who knew we would have email rather than regular mail and how that has changed our lives or just being able to use the internet to share information with others around the world.

I’m just as happy riding across country in a car rather than on a horse, for example. Can’t imagine not having some of these conveniences in my life. How about you?

Anyone who creates needs a steady influx of new ideas. Everything every created, everything ever invented, began with a tiny gem of an idea in someone’s mind. Every single one began the same way.

So it follows that if we don’t have any ideas to work with, we’re not going to be able to create anything. If you are willing to be aware you can be inspired by what you see and hear around you.

Ideas are everywhere. Try to find things that are very new to you, and it will instantly stir up new connections and ideas in your mind. The stimulation from the information will also bring up things that you already knew that relate to the information that is new. The combination can give you a new approach to write about.

In this world of slander, liable and blacklist, there is little span for creativity, writing robotically is not an efficient way to allure the readers and retain their interest. Creative writing is the powerful tool that is used to express feelings and thoughts of a person in imaginative and poetic way rather than to covey it in simple informative style. Writing is the type of expressing your personal freedom that is used to free us from mass identity spread around us.

How to get started for creative writing ideas

Many people consider it a simple thing to write about the stuff they have read in form of stories and essays; they are able to write good piece through it. But that is not a good approach to become a skillful creative writer. Creative writing has its own requirements and principles of construction that need to be learnt. It does not mean that you possess creative writing skills because you have read plenty of novels and stories.

Simple writing is not like a piece of furniture. It is just like that you can claim to make a chair as you have enough practice of sitting on it. While your first writing document may disappoint you in first attempt but you should not lose hope. Constant practice and training in creative writing program is very helpful to polish your hidden creative writing skills.

There are plenty of books that are written for new fiction writers. These books are meant to give you complete insight of creative writing tips and creative writing ideas. Many tutorial websites has also introduced various creative writing programs for the assistance of new and talented writers. You can join these sites which offer creative writing programs to polish your creative writing skills. Here, I would like to give you some tips that will help you to start your career as a creative writer.

Tricks and tips for beginners

Stretch your writing muscles with short exercises:

If you do know much about creative writing tips, you should read creative writing essays and articles daily. Make it a habit of writing daily even if you have been writing for ten minutes.

Carry a notebook to note your observation:

You will find great lines of dialogues if you keep your ears open in cars or on the bus. You should write down any unusual phrase in your note book that you smell or see.

Try to work out in that time when you like to write:

Some writers prefer to work early in the morning because they regard morning time suitable for creative writing. Some prefer to work late at night when all family members have gone to bed. You should do not waste time to do such experiment.

Getting feedback

All writers need to edit and revise their work on completion. First attempt will never give perfection in your work. When you have completed initial draft, leave it for a few days-come back and pinpoints mistake with red pen. If you cannot pinpoint them, ask your fellow writer to go through it and provide feedback.

Writing is fun:

If you feel bore of your current work, take a break and start a new project, something which is purely for excitement and fun. You can write a short story if you are bogged down of writing a long story.
You can be a good writer if you are able to provide new prospective, deeper meaning, moral integrity, entertainment and life transforming experience to reader through your creative thoughts.

When we go through more challenging and difficult times with our writing – those times when we find ourselves stuck, blocked, out of ideas – “fun” and “enjoyable” are some of the last words that come to mind to describe what we’re experiencing.

So here are 5 of the most common reasons why we lose the sense of fun and enjoyment in our creative writing, and how to start to get them back.

1. We expect too much too quickly.

2. We always start in the same place.

3. We always write to produce an “end product”.

4. We get stuck writing the same way over and over.

5. We’re afraid of messing up.

See if any of these things might be stealing your enjoyment and correct what you need to to get started writing again.

Problems that you can solve with your writing are like alligators:

Stage 1: They are born small.
Stage 2: They get big, strong and smart.
Stage 3: They intimidate.
Stage 4: They can live a long time.

Start writing and sharing your problem solving skills as soon as you discover that your approach worked. Your solution might be exactly what your reader has been searching for and will save them a lot of time in getting to a resolution of the problem. They will thank you for your information and the steps you used to problem solve.

The idea is to share your solutions. Your reader can contain a baby alligator or a small problem because you can encourage them with the knowledge that they are: smarter, stronger and can use your solution or at least try your solution to solve a beginning problem.

Your steps to a solution will help your reader because:

It takes less time for them using the steps you found worked for you

It takes less of their energy when they have a set of steps to try

It takes fewer of their mental and emotional resources

The stress reduction will help them get to the result/resolution faster

So turn to your digging tools, you only need to keep your eyes and ears open, ask a few questions.

How’s it going?

What’s the problem?

What’s getting in the way?

What’s the best way to fix it?

How can I help?

This is what I did to solve that type of problem, my solution might work for you too.

Get your writing tools ready and start sharing what you would do or what you did in the same situation. In writing down your steps you might discover additional shortcuts that will help you the next time you have a similar problem and might help your reader get to a solution more quickly.

I have always enjoyed reading. There is so much to choose from out of the topics that I commonly want to add more to my knowledge base about. I really like the diversity of the approach to the information and frequently find that I can improve my use of the topic information by adding sometimes just one idea presented by the author I am currently reading.

Everyone has a way of approaching knowledge and if you have wanted to share but were concerned that the topic you want to write about already has everything about it covered you need to reconsider.

Because there are different learning styles the topic needs to be presented in different ways to have the information available to those different learning styles. Understand and learn more about learning styles.

Write about it in the way that you learn best and the readers that learn in the same way you do will find your information, be grateful you took time to share and will want to return for more of your future work.

People are continually searching for authors that are able to write in such a way that they GET the information. It is such a satisfying experience when you can connect with a topic, understand where the author is coming from and can apply the information to better your life.

Every time you reconstruct a memory, reminisce or re-read a story you have written about an event you experienced, you are actually strengthening the neurological pathway for that memory. This helps prevent it’s loss.

“What we believe about ourselves is determined by what we remember about our pasts.” Daniel L Schacter

You can improve your memory by writing in each of the areas of memory. There are 3 types:

1. abstract ideas

2. general memories which are your knowledge or know-how

3. autobiographical memories which are those memories that form as a result of our experiences, a story about us or about us in the world. Those slices of our lives and the stories that makeup our core personalities.

Improving your memory is just another great reason to write your stories and sharing with others just adds to the fun.
