Write Once-Get Paid Over And Over

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Many people I talk to…tell me if they could have one financial wish…it would be to become financially free… To create multiple streams of passive income that would make them “set for life.”

As a writer every written work you get paid to write or are selling yourself off line as well as online can become one of these passive income streams.

You could create not one or two, but dozens upon dozens of separate passive income streams…

…Automatic Revenue Sources… each one pumping out “moolah” — while you’re not even there.

I have repeatedly told you that if you even have only 5 minutes a day you can be paid for your writing. The resources I have been recommending are excellent–you just have to decide to get going.

Reasons To Write

Monday, March 8th, 2010

For my blog visitors, I hope all is well.  As an author and publisher, I believe writers have an opportunity to preserve their thoughts, experiences, creativity and expertise in print, as well as other forms of media.  We all have a story to tell for others to receive encouragement, inspiration, education, entertainment, and more.

Writing is a way the the author and the readers connect with each other over a message.  If an article, ebook or book’s message is strong enough and is shared by many, it can create change.

For business people, it is a format that potential clients can take home with them, study, read, and learn from an expert. It can even be a way to prime a client before they embark on hiring you for your specialty.

If you are looking for a reason to write an article, ebook or book, those are really good reasons.  However, if you need another reason; according to the November 30, 2009 IBISWorld Industry Report, the Book Publishing Industry is a $25.7 billion dollar industry.

There are thousands of new books released each year from small to large publishing houses.  If you choose to write, you will have access to a part of that $25.7 billion dollars when you write, promote and sell your written work.

All very good reasons for you to think about what you might be able to share with prospective readers.

Writing System Ideas

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Are you wondering WHERE the writing results you want are and what’s taking so long for your written work to start paying you? You might just need a reminder:  The day you plant the seed (got an idea about a topic you wanted to write about) is NOT the day you see growth or for sure not the day you eat the fruit.

So many new writers (and seasoned writers too) are in avoidance and denial-not beginning to write, not continuing to work on what they are in the middle of writing and not getting the manuscript or stories finished. The biggest hindrance is not getting any help when stuck. The I don’t have to check my grammar or have help in editing what I have written syndrome. I’ll get back to writing that last chapter later but why isn’t my royalty check in the mail today?

We are conditioned through the media that everything is supposed to happen miraculously quickly in our lives. The I wanted the results to be here yesterday with no effort kind of thinking.

Whoa. Slow down for a second! You need a new strategy if what you have done in the past is not working for you.

So how do you stop the avoidance and denial of not getting your writing done?

Most people set up completely unrealistic expectations of what they are capable of or how long what we want to do will take. When our initial efforts don’t meet those grandiose self-imposed expectations quickly, they begin to go into a place of doubt, worry, fear and then inevitably, resentment and anger.

If ever you get caught up in “Why isn’t this happening?”, getting into a place of self-doubt or blaming the process, remind yourself you are in charge of starting and completing your written material and when you do the project advances and the results start coming.

You are ultimately responsible for your own successes, your actions, and most importantly how you see your own progress and success. You create your results. A person coming from a VICTIM point of view will always see fault in the process. You will recognize this by the excuses that you have for not writing and not completing your written projects based on things you claim are out of your control.  A person coming from a VICTORIOUS point of view will always see opportunity, no matter what’s in front of them.

Understand that the seeds you plant (your written material) take time to grow (be completed, sold in bookstores or online). Just as you wouldn’t rush Mother Nature and expect a tree to grow in one day, blaming the process of nature for being too slow, is unrealistic. Tend to your writing seeds. Understand that different plants sprout, grow and produce fruit at different paces. Do everything that is required of you, and then get yourself in a place of POSITIVE EXPECTATION. That place where you begin to have your writing published and readers who enjoy your communication and written work. And even checks for your written work.

OK, you’re in a place of positive expectation, but you don’t know where to start with the writing? Then it’s time to take action and invest in a step-by-step writing system that will feel easy and authentic to you. The Accelerated Creative Writing System avoids all the unnecessary stuff and gives you the most important things to do to find your topic, get help from a coach if you need it, determine if writer’s block is in your way. From idea to published articles, ebooks and books. It’s all step-by-step. So, you do step one of the system, and when you’re done with that, you move on to step two, and so on. Find out how in the Accelerated Creative Writing System.

Writing Using A System

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

If you want to write but you do not know how or where to begin you need a system.  Otherwise you might get easily bogged down which leads to procrastination, anxiety and misery.  Under those circumstances it is hard to get motivated and giving up seems much easier to do.

If you have started to write but have become overwhelmed by the process and  losted your steam there is a way for you to get back on track and actually get your writing completed.  Exact Steps to start and stay on track.

Without a system you will find yourself  starting and then stopping half way through promising to get back to writing later…which never comes.

Without the help of a writing coach new writers seem to go around in circles saying they want to write but never accomplishing even the simplest writing goals.

Do Not let that be you.  What you can share is important so stop running around that bush and for heaven’s sake stop saying you want to write if you can’t get out of the starting gate.  Get help NOW!!!  Go Immediately to get the help you need.

Write-How To Get Started

Friday, February 12th, 2010

If you have the romantic passion to become a writer you might be experiencing what most people do when trying to get started.  The paralysis of analysis can stop you and fear can stop you. Recognize that everyone has both of these problems.  The solution is to recognize it and start writing  anyway.

The most common response of people is regret that they didn’t do something they had an opportunity to do but held back because of fear. We all have the same amount of time and if we take advantage of each and every moment we will see the rewards.

An example of this is a 19 year old and a 70 year old are in a college enrollment line.  The 19 year old says to the 70 year old “did you know this program is a 4 year program”?  The 70 year old answered back “I’ll be 4 years older whether I take the courses or not so why not enroll”?

“Every passing moment is an opportunity to turn things in your life around.”

I’m not giving you fluff and filler here.  I am a published author, sell my books and teach others how to do the same.  You just have to get started.  Time is passing and you can either use it or waste it.

Joy Of Writing

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

There is a joy in writing about things that are going on in your life or in the lives of others.  It is all about the sharing.  Think of the feeling you get when you get a card, a letter, an email or hand written note shared across coffee, lunch, dinner or even across time.

In a few days it will be Valentine’s Day.  Typically that is more of a day to share with written remembrances but recently as I moved and sorted through boxes I found notes from my mother who has passed away and it was really special to go through those notes and remember what was going on during the time she wrote the note to me. What a great way to connect with her memory.

Think about those special communications you have received over your life and maybe even write a short story sharing your thoughts about what you got.  You can tuck it away or you can share with others.

A very popular movie that I see being shown on television is The Notebook which is about love letters written that the man now shares (by reading) with his wife who has Alzheimer’s and is having trouble remembering sometimes even her husband.

How can you brighten someone elses day?

You Have Got To Get Off Your Duff And Start Writing

Monday, February 1st, 2010

You have been saying for a long time that you want to write.  Get going!!!  If you are on overwhelm there are a gazillion resources that I have provided for you. If you are not using any of them shame on you.

You either are going to write or you are not.  If you do not follow through stop talking about it.  You are just frustrating yourself and everyone else around you.  When you do not follow through on your dream you are also  sabotaging yourself with other things so stop trying to sink your creative ship.

If you have even 5 minutes you can begin and even sell your work.  Use the right side of your brain and just start jotting down ideas like you are doodling.

If you are trying to put an idea down and explain it right away your left brain is getting in the way and that is why you are experiencing writing being hard.

Writer’s block, feeling stuck about what you want to say and just not doing it are just barriers you must break free from.  I have given you lots of ways to do that so NO EXCUSES.  I want to see your written work out in the world this year. This is the year  for you to start. Get going, don’t look back, some will like what you write-some won’t-so what?
