Creative Writing-How to Start

by Marjorie J ~ . Filed under: How to Start Writing.

One of the hardest things for anyone to do is to begin to put words on paper.  However, if you think about it, writing is another form of talking.  Having a conversation on paper is something we are familiar with because we have seen books and magazines.

You can start your own conversation on paper with ease by pretending to tell your story as if the reader was in your presence as you are writing.  The only difference is when writing the details down you have to add descriptions that you could, in real life, show the listener.  Add feelings about the event you are sharing and be sure to make it fun for yourself as you explain to the reader all of the information that will make the story easy for them to understand.

Keep in mind that you are the only one that is looking at what you have written with extra scrutiny.  The reader is just excited about what you are sharing that is information from your perspective.  The readers are waiting for your view of the story so take a deep breath and get started writing today.
