Writing About Hopes and Dreams
by Marjorie J ~ . Filed under: Creative Writing.Traditional resolutions as you go into any new year have us pointed in the wrong direction-looking back.
For today-let’s look forward instead to what you might be wanting to realize and set the stage for this by prefacing the specifics of what you want to see with one of these following “launch pad” statements.
“It would be nice if…”
“If I could have it my way…”
I’d like to see this…or something better”
When you preface your desires in this way, you create high desire and little resistance. This is called being “hopefully expectant” and this gives you the movement toward the goals you want. Use this approach to write about what you would like to see in your new year and see the difference it can make in being able to realize your dreams.
