Written Words Are So Powerful
by Marjorie J ~ . Filed under: How To Improve Your Writing, Increase confidence in your writing skills.Rudyard Kipling (1865-1936) was an English author who said that “Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.”
As you think about the books you have read over your lifetime, you can appreciate how the power of the words impacted you. From a total change of life direction to a special communication from someone close to you, just savor the effect of the words as you remember.
As you begin to write more, you will often know just what word to use to give the impact on the reader that you wanted with that part of your story line. There are many tools available to help you find other words to replace one that just seems to stop you every time you review your work. Check around for those tools and have them handy when you write.
Verbal communication is a highly rated skill also but I still usually prefer to enjoy a good book or piece of written work. It is nice to have the same version each time rather than sort through the different verbal dialogues on the topic from the same person. Stick with your writing projects and enjoy your time with words.
